Fr. Michael Osatofoh Eninlejie, MSP - Homily for Friday Week 26 Ordinary time - October 2, 2020

FRIDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2020

THE GUARDIAN ANGELS

Job 38:1,12-21,40:3-5, Matthew 18:1-5,10

GOD CARES FOR US ALL

The church teaches that God cares for us all and wants us to be saved. This is why he is always looking out for us. The Angels of God are also working day and night to guide us against the forces of the evil one (the devil).

The church celebrates all the saints on 1st of November, but today we celebrate  the guardian Angels. It is the teaching of the church that we all have our own individual Angel that guides and guard us.

Our guardian Angel does not only guide us from evils, but also ministers to us in our hearts to always do the will of God. It is the voice of God inside us, advising us to avoid evil and do good.

Many of us do not listen to our guardian angel.

We pray for ourselves today, that God will give us the grace to cooperate with the angel God has sent to minister to us. God help us. Amen.
