THURSDAY 1ST WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME YEAR 1
Hebrews 3:7-14
Mark 1:40-45
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER
It is true that no one becomes a monster overnight. People do not just make drastic decisions in life at a moment. It is definitely what they have thought about or have bothered them for some time that they do. People manifest things gradually and we take it for granted until it escalates and becomes a big problem.
This is why the author of the first reading of today tells us that we all are the responsibility of one another. There is a saying that things are going wrong or have gone wrong in the society because many of us do not care about the type of life those around us live. We have a collective duty to direct, advice, challenge and support one another. Whatever we think does not concern us today, will definitely become a problem for us tomorrow. The fact that it is not yours does not mean that it does not concern you. God help us to be sensitive to others and seek their good. Amen.
